IntroductionChelmsford's Got Talent (CGT) is a fresh talent contest striving to make a difference in the world whlist bringing together the community. Every year we hold auditions where the judges favourite 10 are put through to the live finals two weeks later. Opening the doors to over 250 people each year, all proceeds from our live final are dontated to a charity chosen by the event organisers. Each spring, CGT provides a platform for anyone with a desire to showcase their weirdest and most wonderful talents. Competing for a donated cash prize, the Live show never fails to deliver an incredibly high standard of talent. EventsWe have currently just held our 2012 finals at The Salvation Army in Chelmsford (70 Baddow Road). The live finals for the first time ever was a complete sell out, with a crowd boarding the 300 mark. We welcomed our new judge"Dom Atkins" who certainly brought the funny; whilst the standard of talent was higher than ever before. In a special twist, the judges could not pick a final 3 and therefore chose a final 4, including duo act "Laura & Luke" and 11 year old vocalist "Katy". Our Mission
CGT is all about making a difference. Aiming to raise over £1000 each year for charity, we provide a fun, exciting and professional platform to the community in and around Chelmsford, Essex. For the past 2 years we have donated our proceeds to local charity "Action Africa", which contributed to buying a brand new hospital ambulance for the people of Chikankata, Zambia. With overwhelming success in the past 3 years, and raising a total of over £3000, we plan to continue serving the community, raising money for charity, and most of all, making a difference.
